Are there age restrictions?
Locked Room Omaha age restrictions:
- Under 6 years of age: Children under 6 years of age are strictly prohibited from entering any of our escape rooms.
- 6 to 11 years of age: Participants between the ages of 6 and 11 years of age can play our escape rooms but must have at least one adult (18+) present in the group.
- 12 and over: There are no restrictions for participants ages 12 and older.
Our recommended age for participating in The Locked Room Omaha is 12 and over as younger participants may find some of the puzzles too confusing or difficult to solve.
Are we really locked up in a room?
Yes, but there will be an unlocked emergency exit in-case of emergencies.
How long do we have to escape?
All Locked Room Omaha games are 60 minutes in length.
What if we solve the room in 5 minutes?
You won’t…the majority of players don’t even complete our escape rooms in the allocated 60 minutes and the best of the best teams have escape times of around 35 minutes. If you are able to solve our room in one of the best times you will make it onto our leaderboard!
How early should we show up for our booking?
We recommend showing up 15 minutes prior to your start time. We need to have the escape rooms start on time for future bookings throughout the day. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to re-schedule your booking to a different day or time or reduce your play time.
Are there pop out scares?
No, it is Locked Room Omaha’s policy not to do any pop-out scares in the escape rooms.
Are the rooms scary or dark?
As with most escape rooms some of our rooms have creepy or dark settings. Lights are given out to players for all of our dark rooms. Please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org for specific questions about our escape rooms.
How many groups actually escape the rooms?
We do our best to keep our room escape rates for the specific escape rooms up to date on our website. Our escape rooms are designed to have escape rates between 15% and 60% depending on the room.
If you are struggling with a puzzle you may ask for a hint from our staff while in the escape room. Doing so will disqualify you from being on our leaderboard.
What if we can't figure out what to do?
You may request a hint from Locked Room Omaha staff using our escape room hint doorbell.
Are your rooms wheelchair friendly?
Yes we are wheelchair friendly, although many of our rooms involve physical elements to them. For this reason, please contact us prior to making a booking, so that we can gauge which room would best accommodate your team and make alterations to the room for your play-through if required.
Do your escape room themes ever change?
Yes, we are always creating new escape adventures and puzzles. The escape room themes are changed periodically.
Will I be playing with people I don't know?
No, unlike many escape rooms, all of our rooms are exclusively private bookings – you will never be paired up to play with another group of people.
How much does it cost to play a room?
All of our rooms cost $24.95 a person. All of our bookings are made through our online booking system.
How do I book a locked room?
How many players do we need to play?
All of our escape rooms are designed for and require a minimum group size of 3 players to play.
Can we exceed 8 players in a room?
We strongly recommend against exceeding 8 players in a room, as our escape games are designed for an 8 player maximum. If you do have over 8 players please give us a call at (402) 504-3444 or email us at email@example.com and we’ll be happy to split your group up between two separate Locked Rooms.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, however walk-in bookings are subject to room availability. Give us a call at: (402) 504-3444 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to check our escape room availability for that day.
Do we need to bring our confirmation email?
No, but please bring your ID with you so that we can confirm your booking.
Do you accommodate Corporate functions or private events?
Yes, we book private & corporate events on weekdays. We can coordinate events of any size, but our maximum people playing at a time is 30 people, so groups larger than this will be required to stagger their start times. Please visit our full facility rental packages for details.
CHANGING YOUR BOOKING
I booked for X amount of people and now I have Y
No problem! Extra players can either pay upon arrival or you can alter your booking and pre-pay online by logging into your account in the customer area.
How do I change my booking?
Changes to your booking can be made by logging into your account in the customer area. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a refund in full. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking time will receive store credit for a future booking only.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations or changes made to bookings more than 48 hours away: We will fully refund your purchase to the credit card that was used when making the booking. You can cancel your booking by logging into your account page in the Customer Area. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to process.
Cancellation made within 48 hours of start time: We will only provide a full credit on your account to use towards a future booking and not a refund. Please email us at: email@example.com prior to your start time to request a credit for your Locked Room account or to reschedule your start time.
No shows: A booking is considered a no-show if we aren’t notified about a booking cancellation at least 3 hours prior to the start of the booking. No refunds or credit will be given for no shows. If your group does have a cancellation or partial cancellation please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org at least 3 hours prior booking start time to receive Locked Room credit towards a future booking.
